We want to capture those stories—stories that reflect the spirit of giving, the strength of unity, and the impact each of us can have on our town.
Midland 150 honors the Legacy of Giving and the impact every act of service has had on shaping our vibrant city. Together, we can ensure that the spirit of giving remains a cornerstone of Midland’s future.
We want to celebrate the stories of those who’ve given, received, and grown together. We invite you to be part of the continued legacy!

Thanks to your generosity, we’ve gathered more than 300 powerful stories of philanthropy, civic service, and entrepreneurship - each one reflecting the very best of our community’s spirit.
Submission Guidelines

Each participant may submit only one story.
Submissions are accepted in both English and Spanish.
Submission Types:
Stories can be shared in any form of expression the storyteller prefers, including but not limited to:
Written testimonials
Art form: Paintings, drawings, or other visual art forms (with a brief description of their connection to the Midland community)
Video (no longer than 3 min.)
Photography (with a brief description)
Audio recordings (no longer than 3 min)

Keep submissions positive, uplifting, and respectful. Avoid offensive language or inappropriate content.
All submissions must be original and personal. Stories should not be plagiarized or copied from other sources.
Submissions should focus on telling the story of the giving spirit in the Midland community. This can include experiences related to:
Personal stories of how Midland has shaped your life or the lives of others, whether through nonprofits, community involvement, local organizations, or simply day-to-day experiences living in the city.

Written Testimonials: 2 pages, submitted in PDF or Word format.
Video Submissions: 3 minutes (MP4, MOV, AVI formats).
Artwork/Photography: images with descriptions explaining their connection to philanthropy or giving.
Audio Submissions: Maximum length of 3 minutes in MP3 or WAV format.

Respect others’ privacy. Ensure you have consent from individuals mentioned in your story.
Avoid sharing sensitive personal details like addresses, contact info, or full names without permission.

By submitting your story, image, or video, you grant Midland 150 full ownership of the content, allowing us to use it across various platforms (website, social media, events, etc.) and in community promotional materials. This may include showcasing your story in public spaces or marketing efforts.
Submissions may be edited for clarity or length while preserving the original message, and by submitting, you agree to have your content shared publicly in support of the campaign's goals.
